ABOUT THIS COLLECTION

WHAT WE QUESTION

For generations, we’ve adopted habits, built stereotypes, and established hierarchies that, rather than making the world a better place, have trapped us in ignorance, inequality, and injustice.
This collection is the result of a personal journey of reflection and unlearning that allowed me to question my position on topics such as gender roles, beauty standards, mental health, social stereotypes, toxic masculinity, and irresponsible consumption.

Although these issues are becoming increasingly present in public discourse, it still doesn’t seem to be enough. In my view, they demand a much deeper process of analysis and deconstruction.

WHAT INSPIRES US

The designs in this collection are inspired by three main elements: the concept of deconstruction—as used in both philosophy and fashion; cartooning, as a tool for social critique; and flowers, as symbols of transformation.
Deconstruction in this context involves breaking down silhouettes, colors, materials, and functions to give form to the reflections, emotions, and thoughts that emerged during this unlearning process.
Cartoon influence is present through its aesthetic, exaggeration, and critical tone. Finally, flowers represent the color and change that follow the act of deconstruction.
